10.11.2009 Parliament Hill, Ottawa

The parliament building is always open to tours. After a year of being here, I think it's appropriate I check it out... It is a fairly old building, however, it is actually not the original. The original had been burned down x number of years ago and we have rebuilt to its likeness.

House of Commons, Beautiful vaulted ceilings

Their library is the one spot that did not burn down in the fire. The doors are made of iron and managed to keep the fire out. The feeling you get when walking into this gorgeous library is like when the Beast (Beauty and the Beast, disney) shows Beauty his library and gives it to her as a gift. (I know, cheesy.) The ceiling is high and the main floor is wood with an inset and the upper floors are made of glass. The only thing missing was a rolling ladder.
